“Everything follows the rules of nature. Humans and nature are one. ” The art of the Yishui Inkstones is deeply rooted in Chinese culture. The sculptors strive to create everlasting representations of nature and mythology, while preserving the characteristics of the stone itself. From small pieces to great works that take years to complete, every inkstone is unique according to its organic process of creation. The Masters pass on the ancestral knowledge they inherited, both through their works and their apprentices, forming a tightly bonded brotherhood committed to share their craft with the world.
